Senator Jeremy Ring was raised in Massachusetts.

Upon graduating from high school, Jeremy attended Syracuse University. He received his degree in 1992.

At the age of 25 Mr. Ring moved to New York City. He joined with a small group of innovative entrepreneurs who had just formed the pioneer internet company-YAHOO. Jeremy opened the first Yahoo first office in New York City. As the first sales executive hired by the company, he was instrumental in growing sales to over $1 billion dollars in just 5 years. With over 300 million users on the internet, Yahoo changed the way we live, work and play by making it easier to access information and provided people the ability to communicate globally. Yahoo was a major impetus in creating the new global economy. Mr. Rings position gave him access to Fortune 500 companies throughout the world, promoting not just a product, but also the power of bold ideas. He was able to showcase the possibilities of what the future could be and ultimately what the world has become.

In 2001 after leaving Yahoo, Jeremy and his wife Sharon relocated to Florida, where they immediately became involved in their community. They are co-founders of SUPERB(Students United with Parents to Resolve Bullying). The mission of SUPERB is to teach children social and behavioral skills in order to create a safe school environment where our students can enjoy school and learn effectively. This program has been implemented throughout Broward County. Mr. & Mrs. Ring are also active with their synagogue, along with many social and political organizations in Broward County.

Jeremy was elected to the Florida State Senate in November 2006. He quickly became a respected voice on many issues, but especially on economic issues. He has sponsored and had passed several major bills over the past 2 years. He currently sits on eight Senate committees and serves as the Vice Chair of the Higher Education And the Higher Education Appropriations committees. He also served on the Senate Select Committee on Property Insurance Accountability.
