“An advocacy initiative for those who live, serve and work in common interest ownership communities SM”.
Whether you seek information about pending bills impacting community associations, wish to modify existing law or introduce new legislation, the Community Advocacy Network (CAN) is here to help. CAN is a statewide not-for-profit advocacy network dedicated to promoting positive community association legislation while advising legislators to resist the urge to micromanage and over-regulate private residential communities. CAN works through its website, email alerts and tools such as the “Capitol Connection” email system to mobilize association leaders and residents with the information and resources needed to play a meaningful part in the legislative process.
Why CAN?
- CAN advocates on behalf of all types of common interest ownership communities who wish to ensure that their unique needs are known and understood by public policy makers.
- CAN assists its members with intensely targeted advocacy campaigns at all levels of government (city, state and federal) designed to meet and exceed members’ expectations and goals.
- CAN’s goals are not limited to the legislative arena.. Throughout the year CAN’s website and email alerts contain information vital to the cost-effective and streamlined operation of communities around the State.
