CAN’s First Board Member Boot Camp will take place on Friday, November 14th in Sunrise, Florida. Our Staff Sergeants will teach your Troops (aka Board Members) how to navigate the murky waters of board and membership meetings, inspection of books and records, new board eligibility requirements, creating a budget, reviewing a contract, handling a recall and so much more!! Please call Drill Sergeant Diane Schick at 954-315-0372 or email her at dschick@askthefirm.com for more information. The Community Advocacy Network (CAN) is a statewide advocacy network dedicated to promoting positive community association legislation while advising legislators to resist the urge to micromanage and over-regulate private residential communities. CAN works through its website, email alerts and tools such as the "Capitol Connection" email system to give association leaders and residents the information and resources they need to play a meaningful part in the legislative process before harmful bills are passed. Capitol Connection enables our members to contact their elected officials at every level of government with just the click of a button.
